International Trauma Electives


The Division of Surgery, Stellenbosch 中国体育彩票 welcomes all international undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors who wish to do an international health elective in Cape Town. We offer electives in the field of Trauma.

The competition for placements is intense. The registration process may take up to 12 months to complete, please enquire well in advance about available elective places.

Please request the International Medical Elective Guide (information document) from mbran@sun.ac.za and read it carefully to see if you are eligible.

TI will liaise with the Division of Surgery regarding availability of your requested dates.

Once we have reached agreement on the dates of your elective, TI will contact you to finalise your application.

You will receive an email one week before the start of your elective indicating where to report to on arrival.

If eligible, we will contact you within 10 working days to work out further details as your requested dates might not be available.
